Preaching Minister: Grant Azbell
Grant is a Shoals native. He was born at Helen Keller and graduated from Muscle Shoals High School. Grant spent almost twenty years in ministry outside of the Shoals; serving in Union City, TN for just under two years and in Senatobia, MS for just over seventeen. Grant has a Masters of Divinity from Harding School of Theology in Memphis and a Doctorate of Ministry in Missional Theology and Spiritual Formation from Lipscomb University in Nashville. He holds certificates in Spiritual Direction, Ignatian Spirituality, Identity Formation and training in Immanuel Prayer. He also trains spiritual directors for Wellsprings in the Wilderness and Harding School of Theology.
Grant loves people and doing ministry. He communicates with the aim of "getting the gospel into your backyard." He believes that the Gospel has healing power and wants to see Magnolia continue to be a place where people come into the presence of God and heal. Grant, typically, loves coffee, disc golf, a good limited TV series, and reading (widely). Grant is married to Ashley and they have two children: Isaiah and Liddy May. As a family, they love parades, local festivals, and fire stations. They are also the home of two Lionhead Rabbits (Bluebell and Capybara) and one Yorkie (Peppie).
